I have a job now.  I work for Sutherland again, this time doing web and java server support.  Fun stuff.  I'm thinking of trying to leverage it into a career in the IT security field.

Furthermore, Pineapple and I should be moving out soon.  YAY!!!!

More to come.

I get to go see a neurologist.  Yippee freakin skippy.  I really hope she doesn't find anything.

I have no job, and the tech market in this city is so dried up it isn't funny.  Granted, there are several tech positions available, but invariably they are highly specialized positions that you pretty much need to have done before.  Barring that, it's a high-end programming/administration gig requiring 6 years of experience.  The way companies are laying people off around here, they'll have no problems filling these positions.  At least not until the experienced techs die.  No entry-level anything in this city.  Ick.  I may end up doing data entry or administrative work.  That's disgusting.  I feel like a bum.  Pineapple has been my sugar momma.

We have new fish.  My dad bought 6 tiny-ass comet goldfish.  The other fish all still exist.

Ugh...more later.

I feel like absolute crap.  For the second time today, I thought of something mildly important that I wanted to do, and then promptly forgot it.  It was the same damn thing both times.  I'm sitting here trying to remember what it was and having absolutely no luck.  It's fucking irritating.  I've also been unbalanced and sleepy today.  I also seem to be unable to tolerate loud noises.  I was in a restaurant and couldn't parse the aural signals I was receiving.  It all just turned into so much noise.  Ick.

My computer's acting up.  Could be because I installed service pack 3 for XP.  We'll have to see.  At least I'm nearly finished backing up my data drive to DVDs.  Yay!!

More to come, but I had to vent for a moment.

P.S.  There's a purple sticky note on my monitor that says "Love you, booger <3."  She knows I adore that sort of thing.  At least one thing's right right now  :)

P.P.S.  Bazil's makes some damn good ravioli *burp*

Today, I attempt to get pictures of the goldsquishes. I'll post them as soon as that works. Otherwise, I don't plan on doing much, as I feel sort of like ass. No contact from any of the places I've applied. That blows. Hopefully soon...

More later, especially if there's fishy pictures.

Update: (BETTER) FISHY PICTURES!!! First, pictures of the Great Old Ones (the two that survived from the original batch my parents got):

Here's the new ones Pineapple and I got for my parents' anniversary.  Round 2, with better pictures:

I even managed to get them all in one shot together.  Yay me, yay fishies.

See ya!

But that's alright.  I'll live.

I got fishes for my parents' pond for their anniversary.  Three goldfish and a dragon/butterfly koi.  So very cute.  Pictures when the murky pond water clears up.

Still looking for a job.  Waiting on some prospects that will hopefully get in touch with me on Monday.  Money would be a good thing to have.

Update: I should point out that this is not meant to indicate that everything else sucks.  Quite the contrary.  Ritalin isn't helping anything, though.  It makes me wobbly and unbalanced physically.  It makes me tired.  It makes me intensely focused.  Oh, and it takes away my middle gears.  I either gush about something small and amusing, or rave about tiny annoyances.  On July 3, I get to see my shrink again and go off of it.  Yay!!

Crap
The car broke down last night.  This makes job hunting rather difficult, as there's nothing withing 5 miles of my house other than gas stations and fast food.  We also don't have a functioning bus line in this town.  Bastards.  And it's the clutch.  Even worse.  Time for an education in transmissions, I guess.  Then I get back to job hunting.

I will be very busy soon.  I'm taking this project seriously.  I've got server space lined up and I'm starting to look at software tools for the site design.  I'm trying to find ways to get access to instruments so that I can record samples and not have to poach other people's work.  I don't like the idea of plagiarism, but poor artists with no equipment are poor artists with no equipment.  Heh...I called myself an artist.  That's funny.

I also generated a new userpic.  Not my final choice, but it works for now, and it's better than showing off my ink all over the place.  There's going to be an American McGee's Alice movie.  That makes me wet.

Remember how I said I was going to update more often?  I failed, but I'm going to try to do so now.

So things with Pineapple are amazing, and we're looking for apartments and china patterns and kitties and whatnot.  We're also buying koi for my parents' pond.  Maybe koi for us too, if we like them.  She's mostly healed up from surgery and feeling much better.

I have no job.  I left my employer due to some personal obligations that could not be met at any other time.  I left with my boss's word that I would be able to return without any problems.  This did not happen.  I wish I could trust people more often.  Brilliant ideas for jobs and business ventures are being entertained.

I'm trying to get into writing music, as I think it may be beneficial for me.  It might also be fun.  I'm keeping the idea under wraps until I have a website and some material up, but I have a project that I'm already working on.

Lastly, anybody that wants to make me an avatar is more than welcome.  My tattoo's freakin awesome, but it doesn't have the right feel to it.

Love everyone,
Murph

Update: So the grey gloomy thing was annoying, but I haven't created a custom CSS to use yet, so I'll use this theme for now.  I may have to start a blog elsewhere, just so I can use all the cool stuff I want to without paying silly amounts of money so that LJ can do it for me.

Currently considering moving my journal to someplace with less of a stigmata.

Aside from that, the girl is still the best thing in my life, but some other things are progressively getting better.

I know, it's an update for the sake of an update, but it'll have to do for now. I just worked out, and my poor body isn't used to anything resembling physical activity. I must never reach this sorry state again. G'night, the two people that read this.

Argh.  Had to move back in with family because CompUSA pays dick and my landlord was a tool who thought that I should pay a share of his girlfriend's rent.  Nice that the family took me back, though.

Still not sleeping, but a better job is on the way.  I start tech support for Intuit/Turbotax in November.  Much better.  Also lost weight, so we'll see if I sleep better soon.  Down to 239 from 250, baby.

Actually been watching anime.  I know, I know, that's just not normal for me, but Sam turned me on to Romeo X Juliet.  Based on the play, and very well done.

Can't focus right now.  Need more coffee.  Will post more later, hopefully with new CSS.  w00t for Dreamweaver.

So the company my mother works for merged with another company, and both companies moved into one office.  They got rid of everything in their other office at bargain basement prices, so I grabbed my dad's pickup and went shopping.  All told, the cool roommate and I got three matching floor lamps, a beautiful computer desk, a desk chair, a plunger, a leftover bottle of dish soap, and two stackable filing drawers/junk drawers for $30.  The ultimate score.  The desk just has to be seen.  Unfortunately, my other roommate's camera died again.  I so need my own camera.

Okay, it's time to see if I lost weight...and our scale sucks so much I can't tell.  Ah well, I'll check next time I'm home.  Speaking of home, my dad came over to help move this stuff in, and I accidentally left some of my incriminating evidence lying around, so it's a good bet my family now knows that I like boys.  Feh.  They had to find out sooner or later, although I wish my stuff had been completely moved out first.

    Two seconds, getting some tea...

Mmmm...tea.  So I'll probably end up working tech support for a rather prominent manufacturer of CD/DVD authoring software.  No, not that one.  Not that one either.  Yep, THAT one.  Roxio apparently has a contract with a local call center.  Apparently, we're supposed to pretend we're in Toronto.  That's going to fail miserably.

More later.  I'm waiting for my tea to kick in.

My first LJ post in forever and a day, along with a bit of a revamp.  I need new emoticons, because the goth boy just doesn't do it, but everything else is worse.  Feh.

So, let's see.  I went out of work on disability for not sleeping.  It sucks.  They stopped paying me.  I have to go back to work until I figure out what's wrong or sign up for long term disability.  I'd rather go to work.  I'm also dieting and losing weight, on the basis that it just might help.  I kinda liked my gut, though.  Such a shame.

I moved out of my parents' house.  It's a lovely thing.  It's been a little over a month, and things are changing for the better already.  I have a dildo as a computer speaker decoration and a pair of heels sitting under my computer desk, and I'm not ashamed of either one.  It's great.  Went out to dinner in drag the other night with some friends.  I looked like a totally trashy ho, but that's okay.  It was fun anyways.  Once I get some sort of slimmer/corsetry/whatever, it'll be better.  I also need better makeup.  That'll come in time.

I've got a plan.  It's an evil plan.  I'm going to study database administration, systems administration, and so on and so forth, and market myself as an excellent admin, because I know I can do it...once I start sleeping.  For good measure, I'm also going to study some programming languages and code some stuff for the hell of it to keep in practice.  It's an ambitious goal, and it'll take a little while, but it's doable.

Best thing: Pineapple.  Yes, Pineapple.  She's mah young lady.  She's amazing in every way.  I'll go into more detail later, but she's being the most positive influence in my life right now.  Oh, and on top of that, she's beautiful, smarter than me, and highly independent.  w00t for hitting the girlfriend lottery.  I knew my numbers would come in.

More later, as I have to get the cool roommate from work.
